First pole of the year is for Fabian Schiller (GetSpeed Mercedes)

Fabian Schiller is the first poleman of the 2025 International GT Open. The fast German driver of GetSpeed posted the best lap time (1.40.051) ahead of Race 1 in a sunny qualifying session at Portimão, confirming the good form of the Mercedes AMG on this track.

The battle was fierce though with the Greystone McLaren 720S of Dean Macdonald, eventually beaten by only 0s259.

Third was the Motopark Mercedes of Matteo Cairoli (+0s541), who led the session until the final part. Along him in row 2 will be another AMG, the CBRX by SPS car of Yannick Mettler (+0s803), fastest in Pro-Am.

In row 3, theOptimum McLaren of Michael Porter (+0s849) and the  other Motopark car of Niklas Kruetten (+0s976), while the first two Ferrari 296s will sit in row 4 with Karol Basz (Olimp Racing, +0s985) and Tommaso Mosca (AF Corse, +1s019).

Lolal hero Miguel Raos, in his return to the series, took pole in Am, at the wheel of the Garage 59 McLaren, and will start from the 13th position overall (+1s441).
