The 2025 International GT Open will go to the last race in Monza with the perfect script: a final three-way battle for the title, with the three contenders covered by only 11 points. Tommaso Mosca and Carl Bennett reopened the games taking a resounding third win in Race 2 at Barcelona. Executing a perfect race, the duo of the AF Corse Ferrari has reduced to 11 points its gap with respect to the leader, Levente Révész (Motopark Mercedes) and to 6 with respect to the Eastalent Audi of Simon Reicher-Christopher Haase. Today, the two top protagonists in the standings finished only eighth and seventh, respectively.
Greystone GT placed its two Maclarens on the podium, with James Kell-Dean Macdonald second and Josh Rattican-Jayden Kelly third.
Monza will also see great battles in the classes. Winning today, Steve Jans and Aaron Walker (GetSpeed Mercedes) have retaken the standings lead by only one point over Valentin Pier0burg-Dominik Baumann (SPS Mercedes), today second in an all-Mercedes podium completed by the 2Seas Motorsport car of Charles Dawson-McKenzy Cresswell.
In Am, Gino Forgione and Michele Rugolo, in the AF Corse Ferrari, took their eighth seasonal win but are only 4 points ahead of Mark Sansom (Garage 59 McLaren), today third with Charlie Hollings behind yesterday’s winners, Antal Zsigo and Dennis Waszek, in the Racing Trevor BMW.

THE RACE- The track is dry after the heavy rain of the morning for the start of Race 2, with Christopher Haase (Eastalent Audi) on pole. The start though is delayed as the Vimana Mercedes of Naran gets stalled on the grid ahead of formation lap and two laps are needed to remove it. At the real start, Haase keeps the advantage, but only for two laps as he is passed by Mosca, who takes the lead. Buuran is third ahead of aron, Revesz, Emson, Macdonald, Cairoli and Cresswell.
In lap 8, the safety car is in again after Salaquarda rammed Paverud, with the Saintéloc Audi remaining stuck over a kerb. The neutralization lasts for 6 laps, and when the proceedings restart, Mosca keeps the control ahead of Haase, Buurman, Emson, Aron, Rvesz and Basz.
The pit stop window (delayed) opens in lap 15 and when all driver changes have been performed, Bennett is first and extending his lead on Kell, Rattican, Lebbon, Porter, Walker, Reicher, Götz, Schiller and Petrov. Rugolo is first in Am ahead of Waszek and Hollings.
There won’t be many changes in the final few laps, but there is some scary rubbing between the two Greystone McLarens, luckily with no further drama.
